Recently, Switzerland has declared its plans to welcome all American tourists who are vaccinated this summer. From June 28th, the country is set to reopen its borders for US tourists. The best part is that the traveler will not have to experience any pre-arrival testing or be in quarantine.

To quote Claudio Zemp, the tourism board’s director, “I’m not only thrilled but also feel quite emotional that we finally can go back to what we do best; host guests from North America in our magnificent country. I have long believed that Switzerland, with its small boutique towns, rustic villages dotted along picturesque valleys, and wide-open alpine landscapes is the natural choice for a post-Covid holiday. Now that the borders will be open… we can’t wait to welcome each one of you.”

Tourists entering Switzerland by air will have to complete an online entry form. Switzerland considers the US as a “high risk” country as of now. As per the US Embassy in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Americans are not allowed except in “cases of special necessity”. From the Schengen region, Switzerland had already reopened to travelers along with other countries like New Zealand, Israel, Singapore, and South Korea.
