From now on, 28 additional countries can apply for electronic tourist visa to enter Egypt

On Monday, Khaled al-Anany, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, have explained that citizens from 28 additional countries can apply for an electronic tourist visa to enter Egypt from now on.


At present, Egypt provides the service for a total of 74 countries.


Also, Anany declared about the introduction of an application that can gauge the levels of tourist satisfaction at various Egyptian airports.


During a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Tourism and Antiquities, this news came in, where Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, chaired the discussion and attended by the ministers of finance, local development, health, aviation of Egypt, and the head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce.


Anany talked regarding his ministry’s initiation to push the movement related to tourism including marketing campaigns in endorsing Egyptian tourist destinations and draw visitors from sundry international and Arab markets.


He explained that leading these efforts is the “Egypt in the Eyes of the European Union Ambassadors” campaign. It features over 20 short films posted by foreign ambassadors to prop up various tourist and archaeological sites in Egypt, including the ambassadors of Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Denmark, Belgium and Bulgaria.
