From Oct 2022, foreign tourists can apply RAP & PAP online

From now one, international tourists from October 2022, who are coming to the Himalayan state of Sikkim, can apply for Restricted Area Permit or RAP and Protected Area Permit or PAP online, an official confirmed on this.

From October 2022, foreigners through a dedicated website for the Restrict Area Permit and Protected Area Permit, can apply online the official said this mentioning that the development work for the website is on as well. Foreigners will have to get Restricted Area Permit To visit Sikkim, which previously was known as InnerLine Permit from Sikkim Tourism Officers on the strength of valid Indian Visa.

Prem Singh Tamang, Sikkim Chief Minister, in his Independence Day speech, had declared about RAP & PAPA’S online application for foreign tourists.

The Travel Agents Association of Sikkim has expressed thanks to the chief minister for declaring RAP & PAP’s online application for foreign tourists.

For the Travel Agents Association of Sikkim, this long impending demand came true. Norgey Lachungpa, president, TAAS, said that they thanked the CM for being sympathetic toward their demand as 60 per cent of the state is dependent on tourism, completely.
