G. Kishan Reddy, Minister for Tourism of Northeastern India, has explained that common tourism products in BRICS countries like heritage and culture tourism and Eco-tourism offers a huge opportunity for greater cooperation. Today, Reddy was chairing the BRICS Tourism Ministers’ meeting. He emphasized the importance of the BRICS member States to have an excellent understanding of the tourism products and offerings of each other and encourage further development of tourist inflow between the BRICS member countries.
It was recognized in the meeting that BRICS alliance for Green Tourism can speed up the revival and growth of tourism on sustainable lines. Also, the meeting stressed the significance of fortifying cooperation in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, investment in tourism infrastructure, close interaction between tourism enterprises and human resource development.
