Changing a flight mid-trip, layovers, work environment during the transit and preparing expense reports also made the list of the most challenging aspects of the business travellers of North America.

The study that was termed as ‘Creating a Frictionless Travel Experience – North America’ was conducted by the GBTA Foundation in partnership with Sabre Corporation.

It identifies the main challenges business tourists often confront with during their travel experiences. And it also highlights the efforts of organizations that are making the best attempts to make this experience a better one for their travellers. Observing the results, the GBTA realized that many of the top challenges on the list were linked to something common and that is they are all time-consuming.

Michael W. McCormick who is the executive director and COO of GBTA mentioned that business travel triggers growth and face-to-face interactions go a long way in getting business done.

GBTA conducted the study because other reports have indicated that corporate travel is likely to have a considerable impact on employee satisfaction and retention.

Studies indicate that 79% of business travellers state that their business experience has their impact felt on overall job satisfaction and this is more common in the millennials (about 88%).
