Georgia is a strategic tourist market for Germany, and this was noted at a meeting of Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili with Ambassador of Germany to Georgia Hubert Knirsch.
At the meeting, activities of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and planned projects for tourism development in Georgia were discussed. Both sides discussed that joint efforts could help attract more tourists to Georgia from Germany.
It was also noted that Georgia with its rich history, culture and traditions alongside many tourist attractions, is a safe and interesting destination for German tourists.
During the meeting, Mariam Kvrivishvili expressed her gratitude to the German Ambassador for the projects currently put into practice by Germany in Georgia.
