At around 9am today the airport posted from its Twitter account informing passengers of the disruption to flights as a result of severe weather conditions.
It further advised those travelling today to contact their airlines for more details.
After an hour the airport tweeted again to confirm its winter operations, it mentioned that its team had cleared snow from its runway, taxiways and passenger walkways.
The team will remain on standby throughout the day to monitor weather conditions.
The social media platform was earlier used this morning by EasyJet to warn the cancellation of flights due to the adverse weather conditions across the UK.
