GNTO in Dubai starts its annual worldwide marketing campaign

The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in Dubai, which is the local affiliate of the German National Tourism Board (GNTB) started its annual worldwide marketing campaign ‘German Summer Cities’ with a successful brand activation event in the City Walk Mall in Dubai, along with the campaign’s premium partner Lufthansa Group and UAE-based travel trade partner Al Rais Travel.

 

Visitors of all ages were offered a great mix of engaging activities like VR installations to provide travel inspiration as well as travel information via promotional staff and special promotional packages prepared by Al Rais Travel Company and Lufthansa.

 

The three-day event was designed to capture the essence and unique atmosphere of several German cities.

 

The GCC is one of the Top 15 source markets for Germany and the third largest non-European source market, after China and the USA. In 2016, Germany ranked on top among GCC travellers, before the UK, Turkey and France.

 

The German Federal Statistical Office said that there were 87.7 million international overnight stays recorded in accommodation establishments with at least ten beds in 2018. For the ninth consecutive year, the number of visitors to Germany last year reached record levels, showing a 5 per cent increase overall to 2017.
