The Salaulim Garden in Goa will soon be transformed into a tourism hotspot just in the footsteps of the popular Brindavan Gardens of Mysore. The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) will be setting up this property with a mission to boost up the region’s tourism.

This special project of late received a green signal, and mentioning this, Tourism Minister Ajgaonkar explained that the development of Salaulim Dam property is hoped to provide an extra boost to Goa’s hinterland tourism. At present, Goa Tourism is aiming on hinterland tourism as it is introducing more new opportunities for the local residents in and around those respective tourist locales. Also, during the monsoons, the Salaulim Dam looks amazing, which implies that developing the property downstream will add value and boost footfalls to Goa?

According to the recent news reports, this project will be started in synchronization among the following departments—Goa Forest Development Corporation, Goa Tourism Development Corporation, and Water Resources Department. Apparently, it is estimated that the project will cost about INR 50 crore and the GTDC will keep no stones unturned to tap funds under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism.
