Goa signs MoU with Uttarakhand for tourism promotion

The government of Goa signed a MoU with Uttarakhand for tourism promotion and exchanging of skill in the segment.


Rohan Khaunte, the tourism minister of Goa flew to Dehradun, where he declared that the two states would involve and inspire tourists to visit both states.


Khaunte also made an enthusiastic appeal that Goa should not be considered as a party destination only,
but also valued for its spiritual and wellness tourism.


The tourism minister said that the coming together for the two states with this agreement will initiate cultural exchange, and this will allow people to assemble and provide tourists with a different perspective to discover.


Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Khaunte were present at the MoU
signing ceremony.


This agreement will create the way for traditional interchange between the two states, exhibiting local
foods, handicrafts and folk art through roadshows, numerous cultural exchange programs, carnivals and
events.

Moreover, the MoU also comprises a facility for human resource improvement. Both Goa and Uttarakhand
would work in association and guarantee the interchange of awareness and proficiency in the field of
tourism, comprising training and capability creation for tourism specialists.
