Challenges surfacing from the function of the new Mopa international airport grabbed the spotlight at the Goa Tourism Board’s second meeting, which was held on Wednesday.

Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that they have discussed logistics and transportation problems that will crop up after the Mopa airport is custom-built.

The focal point of the meeting was on how to make the industry better after the Mopa airport becomes functioning in September. The second key issue discussed concerned quite a few investment offers concurrent to the tourism sector not moving forward.

Khaunte said that for taking these proposals forward, it is important to have a single-window system equipped. The state Chief Minister has given a clear sign that there has to be a distinct window for easiness of doing business. In addition, if events are given authorization quickly, Goa will get to witness more tourists. The Chief Minister is the chairperson of the tourism board.

Presentations concerning proceedings that have been planned in Goa in the course of the next few months were made.
It has been widely planned regarding the requirement to have a built-in beach management system. An ecological expert should be selected on the board so that there is lucidity while allowing permission to eco-sensitive ventures, said Khaunte. He said that all events, for which presentations were made, were permitted in theory.
