Goa Tourism put up an amazing display at India’s largest tourism exhibition, South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE), which took place from the 9th to the 11th of February in Greater Noida.

At the show, the tourism department set up an innovative pavilion to promote the vibrancy of Goan culture, history, cuisines, and much more, as well as views of numerous tourist locations around the state. Shri Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism and Information Technology, inaugurated the Goa Pavilion.

This year’s expo included over 45+ trade members from the state, mainly hotels, tour operators, cruise operators, travel agencies, online operators, new tourism service operators.

In order to make Goa an experiential and sustainable tourist destination, the Tourism department heavily pushed sustainable tourism activities such as e-bike tours, spice plantation tours, Konkan explorers, beach regeneration, eco-resorts, bungee jumping, kayaking, and much more.

Goa Tourism authorities also marketed upcoming celebrations like the Goa Carnaval, Shigmotsav Festival, and Chikal-kalo, inviting visitors to join and enjoy the festivities.

The Minister of Tourism thanked the trade members for their participation in the show. He went to all of the stalls, including the international one, and spoke with co-exhibitors from all of the other pavilions. He also had a brief conversation with Mr. Abdullah Alhagbani of the Saudi Tourist Authority about possible future cooperation.

The event was a success as the department and trade members received overwhelmingly good feedback from visitors, bloggers, and journalists.
