The UK roadshow, which took place from 12th – 14th June in the cities of Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham, provided leading travel companies from each city with the opportunity to meet with the tourism board and network with other partners from the state in central India.
The UK roadshow hosted by the deputy director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Yuvraj was held between 12th-14th June in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham providing the members of the tourism board and network with other partners from the state in central India to meet.
Representatives from various travel companies,Thomas Cook, Flight Centre,Kuoni and Travel Counsellors and there was an informative presentation by the deputy director.
The state presented the attendees with arts and crafts gifts from the state and holiday prizes were also during the event where an agent from each city who will be lucky enough to get a fam trip to Madhya Pradesh will get to attend the fifth Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart to be held in October.
Yuvraj Padole, Deputy Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism was pleased to meet the representatives from the UK’s travel companies sharing insights on why Madhya Pradesh should be a top priority travel destination this year. Apart from being known as the ‘tiger state’ the state also has many species of animals, impressive monuments and three UNESCO World Heritage sites.
He was looking ahead to welcome travel trade and UK travellers to the state very soon. With more than 800,000 British national visiting the country every year the UK is among the most important inbound markets for India.
The UK was the third top source for foreign arrivals to India in May 2018 and the British tourists represented 7% of the total tourists arrivals.
