carnival-corporationGrand Turk is a welcome addition to the list of all the Caribbean ports that have reopened ever since Hurricanes Irma and Maria that swept through this region past September 2017.

This Carnival Corporation-operated port in Turks & Caicos had welcomed Carnival Ecstasy travellers on 1st November with bright skies, spectacular beaches and a busy shopping and fine dining scene as well as certain exciting shore excursions around this island.

Onboard the cruise vessel a reception was hosted for the officers of the cruise vessel.

The event also witnessed the participation of regional government officials and executives from Carnival Corporation.

The call of Carnival Ecstasy is actually the first for Grand Turk as the Caribbean gets ready for its winter 2017 to 2018 season. The other cruise ships visiting the port in the near future comprise Carnival Sunshine, Holland America’s Koningsdam and Crystal Serenity.

Hurricane Maria had passed over the Turks & Caicos Islands on 22nd September.

With an aim to help with the recovery of this island Carnival Corporation had used many cruise ships to deliver supplies to Grand Turk. The Carnival Corporation boasts of a series of brands like Princess Cruises, Holland America and Carnival.

The reopening of Grand Turk follows the reopening of San Juan and comes just less than two weeks prior to the much-anticipated reopening of St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
