As industry experts and insiders emphasize that at the 8th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) that was recently organized in Athens, Greece might get a chance to get elevated among the 10 best world congress destinations as long as stakeholders take on a more MICE – friendly approach.

 
To that avail, the best practices implemented by all the developed tourist and conference destinations must be adhered to. While the Greek State must lift up added support with lesser obstacles. The participants emphasized that lately Greece has made good development in terms of organizing conferences and accepting more extroverted attitude, stimulating Greece and Athens to the 25th place of the ICCA world ranking of conferences.

 

In the European category, Greece positions 15th place, Athens in 17th and Thessaloniki in 53rd place respectively.
