“Tourism has the power to be a force for good, and we believe that by working together, we can drive meaningful change in the adventure travel sector,” said Albert Salman, CEO of Green Destinations. “We are thrilled to partner with ATTA to provide their members with the resources and support needed to achieve sustainability goals and make a positive impact on the places they operate in.”
ATTA members will be able to take advantage of special conditions for joining Green Destinations’ Good Travel Seal certification program. In turn, Green Destinations members will be encouraged to become part of ATTA’s extensive global network, fostering a vibrant community of responsible travel professionals committed to creating positive impacts.
“For the past 20 years, ATTA has been dedicated to fostering a global community committed to sustainable travel while making it easier, and more accessible for businesses to integrate sustainability into their operations, “said Gustavo Timo, ATTA’s VP of Sustainability and Impact. “Our partnership with Green Destinations is an important step toward that goal. By joining forces, we can better support adventure travel companies in adopting best practices, gaining recognition, and advancing their sustainability efforts. We believe in building bridges between our members and the industry’s leading experts to ensure sustainability is both actionable and impactful.”
The partnership will also include joint outreach efforts such as webinars, articles, and press releases, as well as dedicated online resources on ATTA’s website, showcasing the unique advantages and opportunities available through Green Destinations’ initiatives. An actionable plan with defined activities and timelines will be created to ensure smooth and effective execution of this partnership.
