Dominique said that just in the last couple of year’s, they have totally changed their aim and who they advertise to and who they speak of when they talk to airlines, and that’s the tourism and leisure traveler.
As per the info from an investigation of Dean Runyan and Associates, the tourism economic research firm, in 2021 West Virginia witnessed one of the most distinguished recoveries in the tourism history of the state. The Almost Heaven marketing campaign of the state, introduced by West Virginia Tourism, was introduced in 2018.
In 2020, the New River Gorge became a national park and preserve. The very next year, i.e. 2021, the US state and national parks enjoyed record-breaking attendance.
Starting right from white water rafting, to hiking, mountain biking, zip-lining, and winter skiing, West Virginia is identified by the Lonely Planet, Condé Nast Traveler, Luxury Travel and TIME Magazine as a leading global destination.
