Growth of tourism is important to improve Bahrain economy

Developing the tourism sector is necessary for aiding the economy of Bahrain, and an important national priority for translating the official orders of His Majesty King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, explained a high-placed official.

The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, praised the Ministry of Tourism and the role that it played in revitalizing the sector, making the most of the rich cultural components of the kingdom and adjusting them to pull visitors and tourism investments, reported Bahrain News Agency.

Also, she emphasized the efforts of the ministry to attain the targets that serve the country and its citizens in a manner conforming to the government’s plans and strategies implemented and led by the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness and the Crown Prince.

Yesterday she made the statements at the time of receiving Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, the Minister of Tourism, whom she applauded on the valuable royal trust conferred upon her by selecting her for the position, wishing her accomplishment in conducting the responsibilities entrusted on her.

The two sides evaluated the future plans to improve Kingdom’s tourism and talked about the projects implemented by the Tourism Ministry at this moment.

To the Representatives Council Speaker, Minister Al-Sairafi showed gratitude and admiration, confirming that the tourism enjoys the unvarying care of HM the King and is the main concern within the program of the government.
