The tourism board will bring together stakeholders to provide outputs when drafting the criteria.

The Global Sustainable Tourism Council will develop sustainability criteria for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and attractions sectors with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

The GSTC MICE Criteria and GSTC Attraction Criteria will serve as Singapore’s global sustainability standards for both industries.

The GSTC MICE Criteria will be critical in meeting the increasing demand for sustainable practices and travel options in Singapore’s tourism.

It will also guide the industry to make supply chains more sustainable and increase residents’ involvement in local events and exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the GTSC Attraction Criteria will enhance the common language of sustainability in attractions.

STB will bring together Singapore’s tourism associations and stakeholders to provide feedback, consultation, and industry expertise when drafting the criteria and encourage its adoption by the industry when ready.

Relevant stakeholders will deliver their inputs and provide sustainability outcomes in creating the GSTC MICE Criteria.

A MICE Criteria Development Advisory Group, comprised of ten organisations from the public and private sectors, will offer opinions and comments to the GSTC Technical Team and encourage the MICE industry to participate in the criteria development’s public consultation and feasibility assessment.
