Harper Collins signs a deal with Sandal’s Institute of Romance

The Institute of Romance launched by the Sandals Resort that began as an in-house trend to analyses the latest findings on love, relationship and romance.


They have confirmed partnerships with Avon Books, a Harper-Collins subsidiary. Their new data suggests that 55% of American women wish that their romantic lives were similar to the ones in romantic novels.

1500 women aged 18-54 were surveyed by the Institute. 81% if the respondents read books from the romance genre with demand for them increasing during the pandemic.


Almost 50% of the respondents preferring to read from the plane ride to relaxing on the beaches, the sale of romantic novels increased during the pandemic., Marsha Ann Donaldson Brown, the Director of Romance of Sandals Resorts further said that they felt it was natural for them to provide their expertise in this area.  

She said that their partnership would help to bring to life the heady and always attainable romance that the ladies read in those novels. It would help the guests to create meaningful connections both during and after the vacation. The resort is helping the guests to achieve meaningful opportunities during their stay at the resort.


The main function of the Institute of  Romance will help to inform the resort’s programming and enhance the guest experience in meaningful ways.

The resort in Grenada will be the first to host the all new romance library, where the couples can choose to read the romantic novels together. The library will keep popular novels like Bridgerton series and Tessa Bailey’s novels including her latest work the Hook, Line and Sinker.


These libraries are meant to build meaningful connections amongst the couples.  Sandals Resort has been voted World’s Leading All-Inclusive Company at the World Travel Awards.  


The World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony will be hosted at Sandals Montego Bay with the event taking place on June 14^th.
