Harrogate Convention Centre welcomes Government support to makeshift hospital

After the announcement made by the medical team of UK, NHS opined that they will continues using the Harrogate Convention Centre as the Nightingale hospital during the coming winter months and offer additional capacity for hospital bed during the winter months to support hospitalisation of rising number of Covid-19 cases.

Paula Lorimer, the director of Harrogate Convention Centre, has requested the Government to save the events industry, and introduce as post covid recovery plan for event management.

Lorimer, further added that the Convention Centre is all set to offer support to the NHS to heal covid patients and are willing to make is available as per the need of the community and the country as it continues battling coronavirus threat. They have even confirmed that they will be able to offer complete support and even help the health unit with additional staff as and when required during medical assistance.

She mentioned that the recovery plan to be focussed on events industry as they have suffered immensely.  And as the convention centre management is happy to support the cause they feel that it is also essential that the Government should also extend the hand towards events industry and by developing recovery plan they support the revenue generation plan.

It is essential to collaborate and help each other to save the industry and recover economy.
