The two requests for the tender reflect the turn of HTA toward destination management in the hunt of tourism’s regenerative model, as per a Tuesday’s news release distributed by the group.

Aiming the ‘mindful travelers’

The solicitation for brand management and U.S. marketing urges for a program that’s based on pre-arrival communications that would help to instruct the visitors with information related to safe, polite and careful travel that will be synchronized with the on-island programs of HTA to offer flawless message all through the entire journey of the visitor.

The RFP highlighted the visitor spending on local businesses and products and their promotion.

Marketing should target careful travelers who will not only help the businesses that are local but spend more money on them. The aim is more visitor spending, with greater amount of visitor satisfaction and more resident sentiment toward tourism.

The RFP for destination support services looks for an individual to provide post-arrival communications with visitors about the significance of being an accountable, alert visitor in the Hawaiian Islands. Also, the job calls for making programs that provide financial support toward efforts in Hawaiian culture keeping, natural resource stewardship and community events and initiatives.

Also, the entity would help businesses and organizations and developing experiences advancing agritourism and cultural tourism; build up a quality-assurance program for customer experience and environmental stewardship.
