Hawaiian Airlines is suspending its service between Orlando and Honolulu less than two years after launching non-stop flights at Orlando International Airport.
In a tweet to a passenger whose flight was cancelled, Hawaiian Airlines apologised for the inconvenience to their travel plans.
The airlines also said that they have made the difficult decision to suspend their flights between Orlando and Honolulu.
Ina statement late Sunday the airline said that they have made the decision to suspend their Orlando service after more than a year of serving the Central Florida market. This is a result of re-aligning their network to better meet strong demand in North America and resurgence of international travel.
The Hawaiian Airlines expressed their gratitude for the support from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and the residents of Central Florida who warmly welcomed us.
Hawaiian Airlines launched non-stop flights between OIA and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in March 2021.
The airline said its last flight out of Orlando International Airport is scheduled for September 7, 2022, and its final arriving flight will be the following day, September 8.
Those who booked flights beyond Sept. 8 would receive full refunds, according to the airline.
