This September, as the sustainability and ESG is quite high up on the schedule at the Future Hospitality Summit in Dubai this year, the Media Partners Hospitality Net had requested many industry partners on the way they are leading the change in regard to sustainable tourism and hospitality.

The world tourism is experiencing the ideal storm of ongoing insecurity, perked up by disconcerting inflation problem, concerns about recession, geo-political indecisions and rise in fuel prices. The question is in which manner the destinations and operators are encountering these new challenges, and in which way can they navigate through these disturbed waters in a successful manner?

In the past 24 months, certainly, the tourism and hospitality has been among the most impacted industries in the world. Raki Phillips

CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said that in his 20 plus years of work experience with international hotel brands, world-famous attractions and theme parks along with starting-up several F&B and hospitality concepts, the last two years have given all of them the opportunity to be strong hearted. This new reality allows all of them to reorganize and transform the way they do things completely. His golden rule is that it’s necessary to be nimble, fast and influential, and never lose sight of what’s wanted to make sure long-term resilience.

The pandemic brought into center the call for being more so than ever to commit to a sustainable and responsible tourism growth in an always changing world.
