Wide range of services at the Helsinki Airport will be even more decorated with a new pay-in lounge, Plaza Premium Lounge, starting in February 2019 at non-Schengen terminal as a portion of the terminal extension opens. The new lounge operator was chosen through a public tendering process.
Being positioned as the best airport in Northern Europe, Finavia carries on to further improve customer experience at Helsinki Airport. Besides wide assorted services, Finavia will be providing pay-in lounge services in partnership with Plaza Premium Lounge, the largest independent lounge network in the world. Plaza Premium Lounge is scheduled to open at non-Schengen terminal in February 2019 as a part of the terminal expansion of the new central plaza.
“At Helsinki Airport we work hard together with our partners to ensure a smooth, high-quality travel experience for our customers. Plaza Premium Lounge is a wonderful new addition to our ever-growing range of services, giving our 20 million annual passengers a possibility to relax before, after or between flights at Non Schengen terminal”, says Elena Stenholm, Vice President of Commercial Services at Helsinki Airport.
The three-time ‘Skytrax World’s Best Independent Lounge’ award winner is dedicated to provide travelers a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.
The new Plaza Premium Lounge Helsinki will provide outstanding lounge services and benefits for travelers departing, transiting and arriving at Helsinki Airport. “Our decision to expand to Helsinki Airport was a natural one. Finland is a major transit hub offering the shortest route between Europe and Asia. We look forward to extending our airport hospitality expertise in our third market in Europe. This partnership will be another major milestone in achieving our global ambitions” shares Jonathan Song, Business Development Director of Plaza Premium Group.
