As in hills, the temperature has started soaring high, tourists flocking to Dharamshala, Shimla, and other hill stations in Himachal Pradesh got completely saddened. The state capital – Shimla, at 14.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday, recorded the highest-ever minimum temperature. In the hills and all over the North Indian belt, the mercury has been rising in the last few days.

Surender Paul, head of IMD, Himachal Pradesh, said that in the state, both the minimum and maximum temperatures at present are 4 to 5 degrees above normal. The temperatures in some areas are 8 to 10 degrees above normal. Majority of Himachal hill stations recorded above-normal minimum temperatures, as Dalhousie recording a minimum of 15.2 degrees Celsius.

Sher Singh a local said that for the first time there hasn’t been any snowfall and temperatures have also gone high. It is a matter of anxiety as the temperatures soars. He also added that for the first time, they have seen this high temperature during this time of the year. For the locals, the weather has created a trouble as this year; the snowfall was very less in Shimla.
