Hilton has recently entered into a partnership with American premium cable and satellite television network, Showtime thereby promising guests complete in-room entertainment presented via the Connected Room.
It marks the very first collaboration of its kind between a renowned hotel company and premium entertainment provider, as per the hotel brand.
Guests would be able to utilize the app to control room features and also access premium streaming like complimentary Showtime programming. The app would transform the mobiles phones of guests into an in-room remote for the lighting, television and also temperature control as part of Hilton’s rollout of its Connected Room technology at hotels across the United States this year.
Hilton guests in Connected Room-equipped hotels would enjoy complimentary access to Showtime service completely on demand.
However, it did not require credentials or a subscription through a new application exclusively developed for Connected Room. Hilton had unveiled Connected Room in December as a first-of-its-kind, high-tech hotel room that permitted guests to control all aspects of their stay from once central device.
The current announcement implies that as Hilton expands the Connected Room technology and adds related features to more hotels across the nation.
Soon, guests can be able to use the Hilton Honors app to enjoy the perks that are made available through it. Connected Room continues to expand across various Hilton brands and markets throughout the U.S. with a large number of rooms set to be outfitted with the special technology this year.
Guests who prefer not to utilize this new app would still be able to enjoy the benefits of the Connected Room since Hilton has simplified the television remote and built room controls into the TV.
