Himachal Pradesh has a lot of prospective for medical tourism: Health Minister Shandil

Himachal Pradesh has a lot of potential for medical tourism because of its natural beauty and tranquil and serene environment, according to Health and Family Welfare Minister Dhani Ram Shandil.

He stated that integrating travel with health will benefit travellers and promote state economies. He made the remarks during the sixth edition of the Advantage Healthcare India conference, which was held by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi.

The rich culture, food, gorgeous landscapes, beautiful tourist spots, temples and monasteries attract a big number of domestic and foreign travellers, and medical tourism may open up massive job prospects for locals, thereby benefiting the state’s economy, according to Shandil.

He praised the organisers for hosting an event focused at promoting health and wellbeing, adding that the notion of integrating travel with health will help not just tourists but also governments’ economy.

The two-day event focused on fostering potential for healthcare cooperation among participating countries. It will allow attendees to network with peers from across the world, exchange ideas, make contacts, and form strong business ties.

The conference, which wrapped on Thursday, drew 125 exhibitors and 500 international participants from 70 nations.
