HOP flight to Aberdeen forced to make emergency landing

HOPAn aircraft of HOP that had been travelling to Aberdeen from Paris was compelled to make an emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport.


Thereafter the plane landed absolutely safely on Tuesday around noon, as mentioned by a spokesman of the airport. There have been no reports of any injuries. The fire service said that they were on standby during the incident.


The HOP flight had been heading towards Scotland from Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The 70 passengers on board the flight were transported by bus to Aberdeen from Edinburgh.


An official statement from HOP asserted that they would like to confirm that flight AF1272 from Paris to Charles de Gaulle to Aberdeen that was operated by an Embraer 170 signalled the activation of the flight control room.


The crew members of the plane dealt with the situation following the official protocols of the company, and the manufacturer, by diverting the plane to Edinburgh that is the closest airport from the spot where it landed normally.


They went on to add that the crew members of the flight was regularly trained to handle similar situations and the 70 passengers on board were assisted by the regional commercial team and transported to Aberdeen by bus.
