Usher in the Lunar New Year with a range of experiences at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, as the Year of the Rabbit brings with it a hope of longevity, peace and prosperity. Get together with loved ones over sumptuous feasts and immersive countryside experiences to make meaningful connections this holiday season. “Lunar New Year is celebrated widely across South East Asia and the Far East, where family time is prioritized over everything else,” shares Sean Mosher, General Manager Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Tented Camp Golden Triangle. “At Chiang Mai, the festivities bring together common themes of warmth and sharing that signify this holiday.” What’s more, the Resort’s expansive collection of Private Residence Retreats, with multiple bedrooms, living and dining spaces, provide the perfect setting for a memorable get-together.

Stay and dine

January is always a magical time of the year in Northern Thailand, as the cool winter weather makes for wonderful outdoors atmosphere. “Guests can immerse in the countryside setting, while enjoying delectable meals curated by our culinary experts,” Sean adds, referring to the newly-launched Stay and Dine offer, including a specially-curated three-course dinner and complimentary daily breakfast with every stay of two nights or more.

Feast for the senses

A key highlight of the Lunar New Year is family get-togethers and dining experiences, even as live music and the lion dance take centre-stage. At the Resort too, the festive fervour reaches new highs as multiple venues come alive with themed lunches and dinners. Khao by Four Seasons offers a menu of unlimited Thai and Chinese specialty cuisine, with grill stations on New Year’s Day, while an a la carte menu of comfort favourites will be available all through January 2023.

Relax and recharge

Rejuvenation and reconnection are common themes of any holiday, and there’s plenty for that at the award-winning spa Wara Cheewa Spa for those looking to spend quality time on mindfulness and self-care. “Suited for a family of four, the Family Rejuvenation package includes a private yoga session, crystal sound healing and herbal compress massage – leaving you and your loved ones recharged for the New Year,” says Saowapa Thumapun, Director of Spa.

Family connection

From pottery and tie-and-dye lessons, to traditional umbrella painting and lantern making, to rice planting and buffalo bathing, guests both young and young at heart are sure to enjoy the myriad cultural experiences at the Resort. “Our experiences reflect the true Thai spirit and through them, we hope our guests can truly immerse in the local culture while enjoying the beautiful outdoors,” says Ashok Nair, Assistant Director of Rooms and Residences in Chiang Mai. He adds, “What is more, Chiang Mai is the cultural capital of Thailand – ‘The Rose of the North’ – and it is for certain that guests from around the world will fall in love with the richness of its culture, the breath-taking beauty of its natural wonders and the historical sites and old towns that are bustling with local arts, crafts and cuisine.”

Thailand by Four Seasons

For those who would like to explore the pristine beaches, family time is made perfect at the Private Residence Retreats at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, which offer vast living and social spaces in the multi-bedroom residences. “There’s no better place to make memories than with us,” smiles Jasjit Assi, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, pointing to the Bed and Breakfast offer, where every other detail of the stay can be customized. Deep in the bamboo jungles, private dining experiences feature traditional and modern menus to complement the festive spirit. “A Three-Night Adventure Package offers the ideal combination of in-Camp and destination experience to truly immerse in the Golden Triangle,” smiles Macall Newman, Camp Manager, Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle.
