For the remaining days of 2023, the business viewpoint for hotels remains quite powerful, thanks to an increase in business travel and a healthy preference among leisure and business travelers to put up in various hotels.
As per a recent survey made to order by the American Hotel & Lodging Association and led by Morning Consult, around 68% of US people, whose jobs include traveling said that for business, they were probably to travel overnight during the last three months of this year. This was up from 59% in last year. For almost 81% of business travelers surveyed, hotels are the top lodging choices.
The study also pointed out the fact that 32% of Americans will possibly travel overnight for Thanksgiving. This was an up from 28% a year before, as for Christmas, 34% are likely to travel overnight. This would be up from 31% last year. In the interim, 37% of Americans have explained that for leisure, they were likely to travel overnight during the last three months of 2023. This was down slightly from 39% in 2022.
Also, the survey found that travel attitudes have mostly come back to the norms of pre-pandemic times. Now, almost 71% of Americans say that their likelihood of staying in hotels is the same as they had before pandemic.
