After 15 years of Astroworld being closed, a new family attraction is coming to the Houston area to fill the void which was long overdue.
Jessica Marquez, the parks communication director stated that Houston is the fourth largest city in the nation and they don’t have a theme park.
The first installments of a grand scheme to create a park and retail area will include Big Rivers Water Park and Gator Bayouwhich will eventually fill the 630 acres in New Caney.
Marquez further mentioned that initially then people were unsure but after seeing the construction they got excited that yes it was happening.
The water park will open in June 29 and the construction has been beefing up. The contractors are filling the park, assembling attractions and getting everything in order for the water park.
Houston has a lazy river, wave pool that will attract many. The maze, zipline will start off this weekend. Further by now and then they will have to finish building everything but are also looking for manpower to work in the park.
Between now and then – they not only have to finish building everything, but they’re also looking for people to work in the park.
