IAPCO focuses on sustainability and digitization at IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2022

Today, at IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2022 (20-20 September 2022), the final day at the event, Mathias Posch, President & Chairman, International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IPACO) steals the morning show as he eyes more on digitization and sustainable thinking while organising or attending any event.

With a lot of more buzz on this year’s show floor and programme, all the delegates are looking forward to making the earth greener by hosting a number of useful and green meetings. This morning show taught us how to host any event in a greener way. Thanks to  IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2022, for this knowledge sharing time.

Mathias Posch, President & Chairman, International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IPACO) focuses on certain points:

• Increase in sustainability in meetings and events

• People want to connect live, and it is necessary to have a hassle-free switching on-off at any hybrid event, as an option for cost effective meetings

• The Generation right now is growing in environment awaress, and they can lead us to makee the erath better
• Need to choose most of the cost-effective options for the event organisers, as 60% of the money form exhibitors i wasting an only 10% is working for the buyers and sellers
• Need to use “Step Challenge” to promote more awareness on health
• Need a better pay package for the job holders to attract more as we see a maximum numbr of people is shifting from touism, meetings and trvel indystry to other industries for a better pay package.
• Digilization is utmost necessary though it has limitaions like teh internet coverage is different.

The International Association of Professional Congress Organisers – IAPCO, is a global non-for-profit organisation representing today 138 accredited business and professional events organisation companies in 40 countries. All Members have undergone a qualification process to become a Member of IAPCO and must continually demonstrate a high level of service through the IAPCO annual quality assessment audits. The IAPCO mission is to raise the standards of service amongst its members and other sectors of the meetings industry by means of continuing education, interaction with other professionals and research.
