Iberia is set to significantly enhance its global flight network for the summer 2025 season, increasing connectivity between Spain and the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
The Spanish flag carrier will operate 140 weekly flights to the U.S., a 14% increase from 2024, supported by its fleet expansion with the Airbus A321XLR, designed for long-haul efficiency.
According to Spain’s Ministry of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda, aviation growth is crucial for maintaining the country’s status as a top global travel hub. Iberia’s expansion aligns with national goals to strengthen Spain’s international air connectivity while improving sustainability through fuel-efficient aircraft.

Boston and Washington, D.C. will see the highest capacity increases, supported by the introduction of the A321XLR, which allows for improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions, in line with EU Sustainable Aviation goals.
Iberia continues to dominate the Latin American market, operating flights to 18 destinations across 16 countries.

The airline will offer 3.2 million seats for Europe-Latin America routes, a 4% increase from 2024.

Flights to Mexico City and Bogotá will continue with triple-daily service, while Montevideo and Quito will maintain daily connections. The airline will also sustain its Central American and Caribbean presence, with daily flights to Costa Rica, Guatemala, San Salvador, Santo Domingo, and Puerto Rico.
Iberia will continue its recently launched Tokyo route, operating three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The service, introduced in October 2024, has already achieved a 90% occupancy rate, reinforcing Spain’s growing travel demand to Asia.
