IBTM China announces opening of 2019 Hosted Buyer Registrations

Registration for IBTM China’s Hosted Buyer Programe  is now open, it is expected that approximately 400 hosted buyers will be attending the 2019 edition among which 50% will be new to IBTM China.



The group of buyers will include 20% international buyers and 20% will be from the Asia Pacific region, this will include second and third tier mainland China cities.Around 60% will be Agency buyers, 30% corporate buyers and 10% association buyers.



There will be more than 9,000 pre-planned meetings in the elite group of hosted Buyers which will see participation from approximately 380 exhibitors. The exhibition will be held at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing on August 28 and 29.




So far the international exhibitors who signed up to attend  are Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, Azalia Hotels, United Nations Conference Centre, Tourism New Zealand and Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute. Domestic exhibitors include Beijing Tourism, Shanghai New International Expo Centre Co., Ltd., Tourism Administration of Guangzhou Municipality, Accor hotels and Jinling Hotels & Resorts.




Hubertus Funke, Executive Vice President & Chief Tourism Officer, San Francisco Travel commented  on the 2018’s event that San Francisco is a very popular destination for Chinese tourists.  They received over 500,000 visitors this year and it was a  great opportunity for them to connect the buyers from all over the world.


There will be a comprehensive programme of education session during the two days of one-to-one ,business meetings. There will be more than 50 sessions on topics like tailor-made tours, cruises, aviation, incentive travel and business travel during the Knowledge Programme.


Nicole Ci, Project Manager, IBTM China was  excited to open registration for this year’s Hosted Buyer programme.

He said that already they have over some extremely high calibre exhibitors confirmed and was looking forward to recruiting an equally high quality group of Hosted Buyers for them to meet and do business with.


Further they had altered the ratios of buyer types for this year’s event, based on feedback from exhibitors. It means they  can cater ever more closely for their needs and continue to provide the very best backdrop for doing business.
