Cleveland will be the 19th destination to Icelandair in North America by 2018 which will be followed by the start of flights to Tampa on September 6.
Icelandair chief executive Birkir Holm Gudnason mentioned that Cleveland will be the ideal destination for the route’s network. He was delighted to provide services to Europe in a span of eight years.
Cleveland is ideal for a plethora of activities like art, basketball, music etc. It is located on the shores of lake Erie and has a population of 2.2 million. The city is the home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland’s basketball team, the Cavaliers is headed by the LeBron James.
From next May four flights a week will fly to Ohio city from the airline’s Reykjavik hub
Icelandair will connect passengers from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Additionally , Air Iceland will connect fly from Aberdeen and Belfast to Reykjavik from next June. Fares are yet to be decided.
