Iconic Rooftop Lounge Eclipse at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi Launches New Asian Fusion Menu

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island invites guests enjoying the cooler winter weather to rediscover its popular rooftop lounge in the heart of the UAE’s capital. This year, Eclipse Terrace Lounge impresses again with masterful mixology, bold cuisine, and sweeping views of Al Maryah Island.

Dine under the stars

Offering the ultimate rooftop dining experience under the stars, lounge-lovers at Eclipse will discover a brand-new, seasonally inspired Asian fusion dinner menu created by Executive Chef Christian Buenrostro and Executive Pastry Chef Rasika Weerasinghe. The menu is a delicious way to enjoy the transition of seasons. The talented Four Seasons veteran Chef Christian crafts every dish of the eclectic menu to be full of unique and exotic flavours that refresh and invigorate. His new ocean-inspired classic, the sea bass ceviche with sweet potato, pickled red onion and coriander is one of such dishes with the freshest catch of the day. What is more, he even photographs his culinary creations with the exact same passion he crafts his dishes.

This year, Chef Christian made sure the new Eclipse dinner menu appeals to all. He has added a new-style scallops sashimi with ikura, dry miso, and spicy ponzu sauce to the selection of appetizers along with the aromatic chicken, tofu and kimchi gyoza and the seafood siu mai. Guests can choose from more than 10 various types of tempura, sashimi, maki, and nigiri before delving into a hot selection of seven carefully curated main dishes. Newcomers on the menu are the duo of black pepper wagyu beef and kale udon noodles, and the prawn lo mein noodles, while the pan seared salmon with potato and kale galette and the chicken breast in peanut butter also fascinate.

Chef Christian believes that his signature teriyaki glazed beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and sautéed oyster mushroom should always be included in the order when dining at Eclipse.

Sweet tooth guests are welcome to sample any of the six various types of expertly crafted desserts such as the best seller exotic pavlova with mango compote and vanilla cream, the frozen Oreo mud pie, the refreshing pineapple carpaccio with coconut espuma and lemon sorbet or the Japanese sticky rice cake mochi in five district flavours – all courtesy of Executive Pastry Chef Rasika Weerasinghe.

Party under the stars

A true master of his craft, Restaurant and Lounge Manager Houssam Ouahid brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked at both Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca and Four Seasons Hotel Tunis. At Eclipse Terrace Lounge, he has created a venue where the atmosphere is spot-on day or night.

His favourite night of the week is the ever-popular Ladies’ Night every Thursday, which has a vibrant party vibe created by a live DJ, a free flow of selected beverages for AED 100 and dreamy evening views. “It is undeniably Abu Dhabi’s best party. You can’t beat the panoramic views and the atmosphere is amazing with our DJ mixing the latest tracks. Our team of mixologists craft the perfect beverages to keep the party buzzing,” concludes Ouahid.
