IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to lead South India’s growth with a bold 200-room Holiday Inn in Chennai Vandalur, opening in 2026.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management agreement with Sakthi Elegant Towers India Pvt Ltd to bring Holiday Inn Chennai Vandalur to life. Slated for a 2026 opening, this new property will add 200 rooms to IHG’s expanding footprint in South India. Responding to rising market demand, IHG is intensifying its presence in key cities across India.

The Holiday Inn brand, known for its continuous innovation and commitment to guest satisfaction, remains one of the most loved and recognized hotel brands worldwide. The new hotel will feature the brand’s signature Open Lobby, a dynamic, design-forward space offering guests the flexibility to relax and connect in a way that suits them best.

Located just a short drive from Chennai International Airport in the Vandalur area, the hotel will be conveniently situated near key industrial hubs and major global corporations. Once open, it will contribute to IHG’s portfolio of 58 Holiday Inn hotels across South West Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

IHG currently operates 46 hotels across India under six of its brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. With an additional 58 hotels in the pipeline, IHG is poised for further growth in India over the next 3-5 years.
