One of the largest congregations of the tourism industry in India, the 11th edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM), will be organized in March 2022, Kochi. It’s expected to give a major drive into the efforts to perk up the tourism sector that’s pandemic-hit by drawing visitors worldwide.

At Grand Hyatt at Bolgatty, Kochi, the event would be inaugurated, on March 24, 2022. On Tuesday, Tourism Minister, P.A. Mohamed Riyas, told in a press conference that the proceedings for the next three days would be arranged at Sagara and Samudrika Convention Centre located in Willingdon Island.

The main themes of the event would be caravan and adventure tourism, confirmed Mr. Riyas.

KTM 2022 will give even more importance to the domestic tourism sector which is progressively returning to the levels of pre-pandemic times. The meet anticipates no less than 1,500 buyers to take part in it.

V. Venu, Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism), said KTM was expected to revitalize tourism and bring a qualitative change.

V.R. Krishna Teja, Director, Tourism, and Baby Mathew, president, KTM, were among those present.
