As per the information of the Mysore Palace Board, in 2022-2023 fiscal years, around 33, 92,274 tourists visited the majestic Mysuru Palace. If looked back, the figures were 10.26 lakh in 2021-22, and 7, 08,753 in 2020-21. Post the dull period during the pandemic, this rise shows that the sector is once again back in business.

But, international tourist numbers visiting the palace remained bit low compared to 2019. For the tourists who visit Mysuru, the grand palace continues to be the key attraction. The palace recorded the highest footfall in the financial year 2022-23, at the time of Dasara and the end of 2022.

However, the highest number of tourists visited the city in May 2023, according to the data, with as many as 5, 49,452 tourists came to the historic palace. These numbers are considered as one of the all-time high figures for the month in the recent times. With almost 4, 11,709 tourists, October 2022 recorded the second highest visitor rush which included 1,474 international tourists. In March 2023, the least number of visitors visited the palace was around 1, 81,150 tourists.

Also, around 168 foreign tourists visited the Mysuru palace, in this financial year 2023. In a decade, these numbers were the third lowest. In the year 2020-21, previous lowest numbers were almost 551, and 1,606 in the financial year 2021-22. Almost 80,835 foreign nationals in the financial year 2012-13, visited the palace.
