Good news! Football fanatics who are interested to watch FIFA World Cup 2022 in person won’t need to stay the night in Qatar.

On Thursday, Qatar Airways declared their partnerships with Gulf carriers to introduce match-day shuttle flights between Doha and all the prominent cities in the Middle East for fans to be present at the games and leave Doha on the very same day. The strategy would ease the concerns over the dearth of reasonable accommodation in Qatar and help regional tourism hubs like Dubai.

Initially, this flight shuttle service will connect Doha with Dubai, Riyadh, Muscat, Jeddah and Kuwait City. Qatar Airways is also interested to add few more flights across the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council in the coming days. The gala event will start in November 2022 and will continue for a month.

At first, the schedule will comprise 30 return flights between Dubai and Doha operated by flydubai on a daily basis and 24 flight services between Doha and Muscat. This would be operated by Oman Air. Saudia will manage 20 flight rotations to Riyadh and Jeddah. With 10 return flights, Kuwait Airways will connect Doha to Kuwait City. During the mega sports event, roughly 1.5 million enthusiasts are anticipated to come down to the tiny Gulf state, causing concerns in terms of availability and cost of hotel rooms.

However, the local organising committee has assured people of providing reasonably priced lodging facilities, capping prices at hotels and taking in more cruise ships.
