Spain is the paradise to be! That’s as per the phenomenal tourism data of the country for 2023 beginning.

Information published at the beginning of the week unveiled that the country in the first two months of 2023 had a whopping 8.5 million foreign tourists.

The data showed that Spain broke the figures of 2022 by over 50 per cent.

And tourists are spending more than they ever did, is an additional positive turn, with an overwhelming €5.33 billion spent in February which beat pre-pandemic statistics.

Héctor Gómez, the Minister for Tourism, is exited with the outcome and forecasts that the data for 2023’s Semana Santa will smash the records as well in terms of occupancy and spending.

Around 4.3 million international tourists in February had come to Spain. This was an unbelievable 35.9 per cent boost compared to 2022. On their trips, the visitors spent €1.5 billion more than in February 2022.

This was a 41 per cent rise.

When it comes to the top source of international tourists, the UK tops the chart followed by France and Germany. However, other countries like Italy, the USA, and Switzerland have witnessed major increases in tourist numbers as well.

For tourists, Las Canarias remains the most preferred place, with 1.2 million visitors in February.
