In the first half of 2022, Thanh Hoa Province welcomed 9 mln visitors

As per Thanh Hoa Province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2022’s initial 7 months, the province welcomed around 9,063,000 visitor arrivals. This increased 2.9 times in comparison to the same time last year. This was a gain of 90.6% of the plan in 2022 with total tourist receipts reaching VND 16,394 billion. It was a 3.6 times rise compared to the same period last year, obtaining plan’s 91.5% in 2022.

Thanh Hoa tourism in July of this year welcomed almost 1,668,000 visitor arrivals. This was an increase of 12.5 times compared to the same period the year before. The total tourist receipts attained VND3, 475 billion, a rise of 19.7 times compared to the same period 2021.

Even though, tourism activities in the first 3 months of 2022 were experiencing innumerable complexities, since the open up from 15th March 2022 till now, Thanh Hoa Province has put into practice solutions to make sure safety against COVID-19 synchronically, related to developing “Green destination”, “Green tourism route” … moreover, arranged numerous sports, culture and tourism events and many activities related to tourism promotion to draw visitors to the area.

In 2022, the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported that Thanh Hoa Province has arranged almost 50 sports, culture, and tourism events till now; the province is keen to attain the primary goals of welcoming over 10 million visitor arrivals, total tourist receipts reaching to an estimated of VND 18,000 billion.
