In the first three days of 2021, Maldives welcomed record number of tourists

In the first three days of 2021, Maldives created a record by welcoming over 10,000 tourists. On Tuesday, the local media has reported the data from the Ministry of Tourism.

On 1st Jan, 2021, the official data have shown that 2,500 tourists arrived in this small archipelagic state, 4,160 arrived on January 2nd and 4,195 arrived on January 3rd respectively.

Russia, Ukraine, India, Kazakhstan, and Britain were the countries from where these tourists came from.

Tourists from any country may obtain a 30-day visa on arrival as long as they succeed in producing a negative result of COVID-19 tests taken 96 hours before departure.
