During the third quarter of 2021, U.S. travelers to Florida has easily surpassed the numbers from the same time in 2020, as the vaccinations for Covid-19 were available widely with cruise ships getting back on the seas.
More important for Visit Florida, the tourism-marketing agency of the state, the estimated total of 32.517 million tourists between July 1 and Sept. 30 got defeated by 0.3 percent — the number of visitors in the third quarter of 2019 in general before the pandemic hit the world.
On Monday, the following statistics were released as the agency is keen to witness another $50 million in state funding in the budget for next year, expects that lawmakers will expand its life beyond 2023 and anticipates heightening from the return of international travelers as the federal government reopened borders in November to visitors.
