In Vietnam, tourism revenue rise high in 7 months

In the initial seven months of 2022, tourism generated revenue hit 11.9 trillion VND i.e. US$509.85 million. It’s a 2.7-fold increase year-on-year because of the strong upturn of activities related to tourism; the Vietnam News Agency or VNA quoted the General Statistics Office as saying the above statement.


In July, some localities were recorded a high rise in tourism revenue, like Khanh Hoa province. It experienced a rise of 858.4%. Can Tho city saw a 328.3% rise, followed by Da Nang city with 284.8%, Hanoi by 216.8% and Ho Chi Minh City by around 111.4% respectively.


From accommodation and services related to catering, revenue in the first seven months of 2022 was calculated at about 324.9 trillion VND. This was an up of 37.5% annually.


In July, the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam reached 352,600. This was a rise of 49% compared to the month in the year before and 47.2 times higher than the same time 2021.


From January to July, Vietnam greeted around 954,600 visitors from abroad. This was ten times more than the data that’s available in the same period 2021.
