South Africa has emerged as one of the main travel destinations for Indians in 2022, with travellers from all over India picking the country as their next adventure destination.
According to data from India’s tourism department, Hyderabad has become the third largest source market for South African tourism after Mumbai and Delhi. South African Tourism has organised roadshows in important Indian cities such as Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai between February 13 and February 16.
In 2022, India moved up two spots to become sixth-largest international source market driving tourism in South Africa.
“It is encouraging to see upward growth from emerging cities like Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad, while traditional markets like Mumbai and Delhi continue to flourish. Building on this momentum, we recently launched the second leg of our ‘More & More’ campaign to engage with the audience,” Times News Network quoted Neliswa Nkani, hub head, MEISEA, South African Tourism, as saying.
