The Indian travel and tour operators have taken a vow to help revive Sri Lanka tourism and move forward with positive growth trajectory and asserted that it would promote the island nation actively across all Indian states.

The Travel Agents Association of India said that it would never shirk from selling out Sri Lankan destinations in India. Rather, affirmed that it would educate their travellers in its country in terms of the experience that the island nation has to offer.

The TAAI President, Jyoti Mayal, at the time of speaking to Mirror Business, said that the agents of travel and tour in India are of the view that Sri Lanka must and should be helped at this time of adversity as it attempts to fearlessly sail through the series of challenges it has encountered in the recent months.
She said that Sri Lanka as a travel destination deserves to be supported as this island country is worth visiting. She said that it’s not only value for money but Sri Lanka that relates to the Indian culture, history, religion so closely and has the most wonderful forms of entertainment in the world.

Every calamity brings numerous opportunities with it and certainly, Sri Lanka with the support of TAAI will revitalize rapidly and effectively, said Mayal. When asked on the likelihood of moving to another host country to make the 60th TAAI convention easy, Mayal said the association is eager to bring its convention to Sri Lanka as planned.
