The Union Ministry of Tourism in India has launched the “Incredible India Pavilion” at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2023 in London.
This pavilion showcases India’s diverse tourism products and transformative experiences under the theme “Incredible India! Visit India Year 2023.”
The official inauguration was conducted by V. Vidyavathi, Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, and Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the UK, in the presence of Goa’s Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte.
In addition to exhibitions, the Indian Pavilion at WTM 2023 features cultural performances, henna and yoga sessions. The event brings together a total of 47 participants, including tour operating companies, state tourism departments, and Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
Several Indian states, such as Kerala, Karnataka, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, have set up their own pavilions to showcase their tourism offerings and connect with potential clients and partners.
The Ministry of Tourism intends to use WTM London 2023 as a platform for networking, creating business opportunities, and exchanging ideas and information. This international event attracts a wide range of professionals from the travel and tourism industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hoteliers, cruise lines, travel technology providers, and tourism boards, facilitating collaboration and promoting India as a preferred travel destination.
