On 19th March, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, inaugurated the three-day India Travel Mart Exhibition. It was intended for the promotion and showcasing of domestic tourism in Jammu.
The three-day exhibition highlighted several destinations for pilgrimage, adventure, culture and heritage tourism etc.
Gujarat Tourism, Tamil Nadu Tourism and India Tourism, besides J&K Tourism, hotel and resort operators took part in 2021’s ITM event from March 19th to March 21st, 2021.
While speaking on the event, Advisor Khan, requested about a separate brochure for J&K Tourism at India Tourism stall. He said that this would help to showcase the tourist destinations of the region in the best way possible.
The popular B2B Travel & Tourism showcase and conclave of India, India Travel Mart, concluded yesterday at Jammu.
The event’s first two days were strictly reserved for the travel trade. After that the event was opened for all.
On the second of the occasion, a special networking session for Travel Agents, Tour Operators from PAN India, and tourism officials from Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, India Tourism, Gujarat Tourism and Tamil Nadu Tourism was held.
The best travel agents, tour operators were hosted from the markets like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Agra, Rajasthan to take part in the showcase and conclave and help the participants to stretch out to these proximity markets as well.
To India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Supporting State), Jammu & Kashmir Tourism (Supporting State), Gujarat Tourism (Partner State), Tamil Nadu Tourism (Feature State) and other participants including hoteliers, resorts, travel agents, tour operators, mementos and awards were presented as well.
